Not long ago, we introduced the Dispersive™ Virtualized Network. Faster, more secure and
more reliable than MPLS with VPN, this software-defined network costs considerably less than those platforms.
Dispersive™ VN runs on anything: Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android. It features multipath transmissions, dynamic path diversity, and military-grade encryption. And its bandwidth aggregation capability saves you money by enabling you to use several cable modems for more bandwidth and higher reliability than MPLS at a fraction of the cost.
Just install Dispersive™ VN software, configure it, and you’re off to the races. What’s not to like?
Well, we received a few orders, but we also received some interesting comments. In many cases, this wasn’t just feedback: it was pushback.
Turns out the last thing many companies wanted was another software system to install
and maintain. Just give us a box, they suggested, something we can simply install and leave
alone. And while you’re at it, make that box work at Layer 2 (Ethernet) instead of your VN’s
Layer 3 (IP) capability.
Admittedly, this stung a bit. Our high hopes for a time were turned into high anxiety. However, after licking our wounds, we set out to lick the problem.
The result is our new Dispersive™ Edge Switch.
The Dispersive™ Edge Switch is a dedicated hardware device that provides all the benefits of our Dispersive™ VN without software configuration. Just plug the switch in, answer a couple of simple questions, and you’re up and running. The Dispersive™ Edge Switch features Layer 2 functionality with full support for Layer 2 multicast, L2 bridge domains, and native VLAN transport. And it comes in three flavors: small/home office, branch office, and enterprise.
Here’s the moral of the story. If you have an idea about how we can improve anything from our technology to marketing materials to sales presentations, let us know. At Dispersive, listening leads to learning, and learning leads to leading.
And if you’re interested in learning how the Dispersive™ Edge Switch can provide you more speed, security and reliability for less money than you’re paying now, please email us at email@example.com or call (844) 403-5852.
